2019 Women’s Leadership Symposium

Save the date to join us on May 10th in Washington, D.C. for a day of training designed specifically for military spouses and veteran women interested in public service!

The 2019 Women’s Leadership Symposium will take place in coordination with Veterans Campaign’s Introductory Campaign Training Workshop on May 11 - 12. We encourage all participants to register and attend both the Campaign Training Workshop and the Women’s Leadership Symposium.

Homefront Rising, a program of the Military Spouse J.D. Network is a non-partisan initiative that encourages and trains military spouses to speak up and get involved in the political process through advocacy and leadership roles.

Note: Registration for the Campaign Training Workshop includes registration for the Women’s Leadership Symposium.

The 2019 Women’s Leadership Symposium is a collaboration between Veterans Campaign and the Military Spouse J.D. Network.

Veterans Campaign

Veterans Campaign is the only non-partisan, non-ideological organization whose mission is to encourage, mentor and prepare veterans for a "second service" in civic leadership. Read more about Veterans Campaign here.

We believe that our country’s veterans are a valuable yet largely untapped source of civic and political leaders. In a recent study by Civic Enterprises, over 90% of veterans expressed an interest in continuing their public service. Veterans possess many qualities our country and communities need in our civic and political leaders: a commitment to serve, outstanding leadership experience in the face of adversity, familiarity with a broad cross-section of American society, and an intimate understanding of the human consequences of Washington’s foreign policy decisions. Yet few are challenged to pursue a "second service" in civic leadership--we hope you join us in recruiting, mentoring, and preparing the "next Greatest Generation" of America's leaders.

Military spouse J.D. Network (MSJDN)

MSJDN supports military spouses in the legal profession by advocating for licensing accommodations for military spouse attorneys; educating the public about the challenges faced by career-minded military spouses and their families; encouraging the hiring of military spouses; and providing a network connecting military spouse attorneys with each other and their supporters.
