Workshop Alumnus Elected to City Council

Aug 05, 2011 No Comments by

Veterans Campaign is pleased to announce that Chris Herndon, a participant of our April 2010 workshop, has been elected to the Denver City Council. A West Point graduate and Iraq veteran, Chris decided to run for City Council after his predecessor announced his own campaign to run for Denver Mayor.  Following his successful election, Chris was sworn into office last month. When asked about his experience at our April 2010 workshop, he remarked, “Veterans Campaign laid the foundation for me to understand the elements of a successful campaign.”

Additionally, Chris will be returning to Veterans Campaign as an instructor for our October 2011 workshop. He will share his experiences along the campaign trail and offer workshop attendees a true insider’s perspective of what it takes to orchestrate a successful run for public office. To signup and see Chris present this October, please click here: www.veteranscampaign.org/enroll/

On behalf of everyone here at Veterans Campaign, congratulations Chris!
