Veterans Campaign’s Congressional Advisory Corps. constitutes members of U.S. Congress who share our organizational vision that military veterans represent a valuable source of potential elected leadership.

Senator Johnny Isakson is a businessman, a public servant and family man whose common-sense approach and conservative values have made him a leader in Georgia for over 30 years.Senator Isakson entered politics in 1974 and served 17 years in the Georgia Legislature and two years as Chairman of the Georgia Board of Education. In 1999, Senator Isakson was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for the first of three terms before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004. He was re-elected to the Senate in 2010.<br />
Currently serving on the Senate Commitee on Veterans Affairs, Senator Isakson has worked to strengthen our Armed Forces, and continues to show unwavering commitment to the men and women who serve our country. Senator Isakson is a 1966 graduate of the University of Georgia and he served in the Georgia Air National Guard from 1966 to 1972.

Congressman Tom Rooney was raised in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. After receiving his BA in English Literature, Congressman Rooney worked for Senator Connie Mack in Washington, DC. Congressman Rooney returned home to Florida to attend the University of Florida where he received a Masters Degree and the University of Miami, School of Law where he earned his J.D. and met his wife Tara. After graduation, Congressman Rooney and his wife spent over four years in the United States Army JAG Corps. <br />
On November 4th 2008, Congressman Rooney was elected to represent Florida's 16th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman Rooney currently serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the Agriculture Committee, and the Select Committee on Intelligence.

Congressman Don Young was re-elected to the 112th Congress in 2010 to serve his 20th term as Alaska' s only Representative to the United States House of Representatives.  First sworn in as a freshman to the 93rd Congress after winning a special election on March 6, 1973, Congressman Young is today the 2nd ranking Republican member and the 6th ranking overall member of the House of Representatives. <br />
Congressman Young served in the US Army' s 41st Tank Battalion from 1955 to 1957 and continues to advocate on the behalf of veterans today, as a member of the Military Veterans, National Guard and Reserve Components, Congressional Military Family, and Congressional Army caucuses. Congressman Young proudly serves as the “Congressman for All Alaska” and loves his role as the only Alaskan Representative in Congress.

She currently serves on four Senate committees that are integral to the needs of the state: Armed Services; Banking, Housing & Urban Affairs; Small Business & Entrepreneurship; and Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP).<br />
As the Chair of the Senate Armed Services Emerging Threats Subcommittee, Senator Hagan has made it a priority to ensure federal policies work for our active-duty military, veterans and their families. Legislation she cosponsored ensures partisan budget battles will never again interfere with funding for veterans' health care. In addition, she backed a law to give necessary support to family caregivers of veterans.

Congressman Allen West proudly and humbly serves the constituents of Florida's 22nd district, encompassing parts of beautiful Broward and Palm Beach Counties along South Florida's coastline.  Before retiring as an Army Lieutenant Colonel, Congressman West served as a Field Artillery Officer in several combat zones: in Operation Desert Storm, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was battalion commander for the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, and in Afghanistan, where he trained Afghan officers to take on the responsibility of securing their own country.<br />
In his Army career, Congressman West has been honored many times, as he is the recipient of a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals (one with Valor), and a Valorous Unit Award. He received his valor award as a Captain in Desert Shield/Storm, was the US Army ROTC Instructor of the Year in 1993, and was a Distinguished Honor Graduate III Corps Assault School. He proudly wears the Army Master parachutist badge, Air Assault badge, Navy/Marine Corps parachutist insignia, Italian parachutist wings, and German proficiency badge. Congressman West continues to represent military veterans in elected office as a proud member of the House Armed Services Committee.

Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle is a life-long Central New Yorker who proudly represents the people of New York State’s 25th Congressional District.  She was elected to the United States House of Representatives in the 2010 general election and took the oath of office on January 5, 2011.

Congresswoman Buerkle is a strong supporter of veterans. She currently serves on the House Committee of Veterans Affairs, is Chairman of the Subcommittee of Health and a member of the Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs, both of which are subcommittees under the House Committee of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, she also is a member of the Congressional Military Family. Navy and Marine Corps caucuses.
